What’s the best way to burn fat and loose weight in gym?
I have just started goin to gym and wonder what machines I should use to loose weight and burn fat. I attend 45 min classes everyday but is it enough without workout? And also should I eat before or after going to gym? What kind of food do you recommend and what should I avoid?
11 months ago I joined a gym. I attended 5/6 times a week. I used the treadmill, crosstrainer and rower, occassionally using the weights.
I also decided to change my diet. I kept junk foods, ready made meals you buy in the supermarket, and takeaway meals to an absolute minimum. These are high in refined sugar and high in saturated fat. They add pounds to the waistline.
I managed to lose 48lbs in just over 5 months. I have since then managed to maintain my weight with ease.
When you begin to exercise you should feel neither hungry or full. You don’t want to eat immediately before exercise because it may lead to cramping. Exercising on an empty stomach will cause you to run out of energy. Your best bet is to eat a light snack or meal about 1 1/2 to 2 hours before you start to exercise.
Choose something high in carbohydrates and low in fat, fibre and protein. Such as a banana, or a energy bar, bowl of cereal with skimmed milk, wholemeal sandwich with chicken or tuna in. Make sure you stay away from rich, very fatty, or high fibre foods as they may cause you gastrointestinal distress.
Keep in mind you will only shed pounds if you burn more calories than you consume. To lose a pound you have to burn through exercise or life functions, about 3,500 calories. So you will need to combine exercise with a healthy diet.
So try to have smaller portions of high-fat and high-calorie foods and eat more whole grains, fruits and vegetables. One common eating mistake is to overcompensate for the calories burned by exercise with extra calories from more foods and beverages.
If you manage to get the balance right the results are amazing.

it depends on how long ur resting between sets. the best way to burn fat though is to do cardio.
I need to carb-cycle because my body loves to store fat.. I'm a lifter, bout 4 days a week and cardio everyday for at least 30 minutes. I feel like the most healthy “fat guy” If I consume 3700 calories on w/o days on a 40/40/20 diet that is 372g of carbs– too much? and would cutting amount in half on non lift days work? I tried cuttin calories before and was waking up hungry mid-night. And if I reduce cabs. this will put me at a deficit —do I need to fill this void with protein and fat????
