What’s the best way to lose body fat from your bum and thighs?
im 13 and I got a huge bum, and giant thighs. Im heavy on my feet, and that affects my game ALOT. When I run, within 2 minutes my ankles feel like snapping. Whats the best way to lose weight in those two areas without getting injured?
Reducing body fat anywhere on your body is about your diet (eating habits). Cardio or high intensity interval training helps burn off excess. We don’t get to choose where we reduce. Sorry.
At 13, I would suggest you keep running. Try Intervals though. Such as, run at a steady pace for 5 or so minutes, and then SPRINT like mad (top speed) for 30 seconds. Slow down your heart rate, and repeat.
A 2 minute all-out-sprint burns the same about of body fat as running for one hour. Of course..a 2 minute all out sprint is not something most of us can do, and not be olympic quality athletes. The good news is, we can split this into 20-30 second “intervals”, and get the same results.
Also – search “plyometrics”. These moves are best when worked into your athletics by your coach. Some plyo moves can be very high impact. Your coach will know which are beneficial to you, and which should be avoided.
